Through the the good offices of the Toronto Saints Alumni, twelve teachers at St. Stanislaus College were able to follow a specially arranged course in First Aid organised by the Guyana Red Cross.
Participants attended two-hour classes in First Aid every Tuesday from September 23rd to December 2nd and received certificates after passing a final test.
The very interactive program covered topics such as the History of First Aid, CPR, the Automated External Defribrillator, and an Emergency Action Plan, inter alia, through discussions, simulations and demonstrations.
