St. Stanislaus College first form students Isaiah Layne and Josiah King were awarded four year scholarships by the United States Pele Football Club's Alumni for their academic and athletic achievements. Each student will receive $15,000 per month once they achieve the criteria for maintaining the scholarship which are, a school attendance record of 85%, a term average of 70% or more, maintain a place of their school, club or national teams and participate in community and extra curricular activities.Isaiah Layne is a student of Form 1A, he received his scholarship after being recommended by his primary school, St. Pius. Isaiah placed second in the under 13 category at the Caribbean Pre-Cadet Table Tennis Competition which was played in Jamaica in August of this year. Isaiah also swims competitively and his aspirations are to become a Caribbean table tennis champion and Professional Pilot.Josiah King is from Form 1B, he attended St. Margret's Primary School and received his scholarship for his achievements in Football. He competes for the Georgetown Football Club (GFC) under 13 and 15 teams. He is also an avid swimmer and cricketer. His ambition is to become a Professional Footballer or Aeronautical Engineer.
