GBA Visits St. Stanislaus College
President of the Guyana Badminton Association (GBA) and national coach, Gokarn Ramdhani, recently visited the St. Stanislaus College in Georgetown, and held brief discussions on the game with students there. The interested students were given valuable tips on the game. The visit by the GBA head was part of the association’s mandate to ensure that the game, which was introduced at specific schools throughout the country two years ago, is being played at those institutions.

students of Saints have formed a hockey team.
Having benefitted from coaching by the Hikers Hockey Club for a number

Those elected were:
President- Joel Hunte, Vice President- Marcia Persaud, Treasurer- Rushelle
Matthias, Secretary- Yonnick Peters and Assistant Secretary/Treasurer- Hilton

the newly formed Saints Club take on the Airbenders, a side made up primarily
of the women’s national squad. The All
